Multiple members of the Nebraska Acoustics Group (NAG) attended and presented at the Sixth Joint Meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) and the Acoustical Society of Japan (ASJ) held in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Anna Mattson received an NCAC Student Travel Award to present her paper entitled "Mining online reviews to examine perception of acoustics in multi-family residences."
Dr. Lily Wang presented "A review of issues around autism and auditory accessibility in buildings" from the Ten Questions paper published in Building & Environment earlier this month! This paper was written in an international collaboration with current NAG faculty member Sam Underwood, Fernanda Caldas (UNICAMP), Bruno Masiero (UNICAMP), Carmen Rosas-Peréz (Heriot-Watt University), Alaa Algargoosh (Virginia Tech), Federica Bettarello (University of Trieste), Marco Caniato (University of Applied Science - Stuttgart), William Davies (Salford), David Manley (NAG Alum, now at DLR Group), Anna Remington (UCL), Anjana Sivakumar (DLR Group), Wayne Wilson (University of Queensland), and Luca Zaniboni (Danmarks Tekniske Universitet).
Kieren McCord (NAG alum, now at Pacific Northwest National Lab) presented "Protocol and preliminary results from multi-lab study comparing binaural recording systems" from an ongoing collaboration with Eric Rokni (High Point University) and Sam Underwood (UNL).
Board game night was hosted by Dr. Lily Wang, and featured games like Rebel Princess, Hot Streak, Tacta, and Blood on the Clocktower!
